For Anna, Thanks for thinking of me and your encouragement.

This is another shot of my favorite moment from this trip. This one focused a little more on the impalas, as they strolled leisurely in front of us while I was just happy photographing the flamingos. With the impalas in front of the lake was just so amazing I could believe it was me being there at the moment. Even now looking at this image, I still feel like the most fortunate person alive.

Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in central Kenya and is protected by a small Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake's abundance of algae attracts the vast quantity of flamingos that famously lines the shore.

Nakuru means "Dust or Dusty Place" in Maasai language. Lake Nakuru National Park, close to Nakuru town, was established in 1961. It started off small, only encompassing the famous lake and the surrounding mountainous vicinity. Now it has been extended to include a large part of the savannahs.

Hello Way,
Scene you captured is great. I like the light, colors, layers, POV, and composition. Flamingoes in the background look lovely. TFS
Best wishes,
Selen

Hello Way
This is a very special dedication done for me. It is much appreciated. This kind of image is what I call my cup of tea and just what the doctor ordered. The different layers of colours formed by the animals, birds and the water are amazingly captured. It is such a delightful image to look at., as the atmosphere captured is of total relaxation and peace. The two flamingos soaring in the sky adds that extra oomph to an already special scenery and photograph. The colours of the impala’s and the flamingo’s are just great and displays well on the screen. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards
Anna

Hi Way

A splendid photo from you!
I love the two distinct bands of color here created by the willife in your scene - the impalas in the Fg and the flamingo in the Bg.
This creates a very beautiful composition, with the helps of hte natural surroundings, of course.
All details are impeccable, the exposure is spot-on and the colors everywhere are gorgeous.

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Hi Way,

A beautiful photograph...the situation is so natural that it is difficult to believe that two species can be in such absolute harmony with each other and with nature, so unspoilt...an amazing capture

Hi Way!

You present us a delightful wildlife picture. First, I'm impressed by the wonderful colours, particularly concerning the Impalas. The Flamingos are at the limit of the over-exposure, but their colour contrasts nicely with the rest of the picture. The overall atmosphere is so pleasant!

Kind regards

Markus

G'day Way
Beatifull colours, as the sun is low. I also like all the horizontal lines these animals and the lake shore in the foreground make.
Well done and thanks for sharing

Hello Way,
The light here is just magical.
I love the golden light on the impalas.
The scope of this scene is impressive,
and gives us a taste of the grandeur of the African plains,
and the richness of its fauna.
A great composition.

Hi Way
This is an impressive view of both Impalas and flamingos. A spectacular African view, I can see why you were so touched with this image. I can only image what it would like to actually be there in person. Thanks for sharing this special moment.

Hello Way,
Sometimes you're focusing on your subject, looking through your finder and then suddenly you have to cope with that visitor or in this case visitors walking within your image. And sometimes this is even an opportunity:-).
