Black Rhino
Nakuru NP is probably the best place in Eastern Africa to see Rhinos, both Black and White are occurring.
The color of both are the same and mainly changing with the mud on the skin. Black is smaller and from afar easy to identify by behavior. White Rhino is a grazer with a broad, wide (thus the name, wrong translation from dutch or Afrikaans) mouth and lips and the head is always down at the grass, the Black Rhino is a browser selecting leaves and like on this picture flowers or herbs which are selected with a pointed upper lip.
Next few images will be of Rhinos

Hi Tom,
Simple yet beautiful capture of the rhino (and the birds as plus) with great shallow depth of field and fantastic sharpness. Imagine this monster on full speed. :) Great choice of background, too. Bravo.
Best regards, László

Awesome shot Tom!!
I'm definitely glad we don't have these big fellows roaming the fields behind the house. The shear body mass of this guy is impressive alone, and you captured him wonderfully in fine detail.
The birds seem to be going along for a free ride in this shot. I can't imagine they would find any insects to eat on his muddy armor plated hide. Well done!!

A good shot of this great guy with the little ox-peckers on his back. If the next few images are anything like this, then I cannot wait to see them.
Well done and TFS

Incredible capture of a rare rhino. This would be a prize for me to capture on an image. I envy all who gets to witness this amazing animal in the wild. Very nicely captured Tom. :)
