[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Koch's giant day gecko (Phelsuma madagascariensis kochi Mertens, 1954) is a diurnal subspecies of geckos. It lives in northwest and western Madagascar and typically inhabits trees. The Koch's giant day gecko feeds on insects and nectar. The Phelsuma species are usually colourfull Geckos which are found on many of the islands of the indian ocean. This gecko was found in the dry forests close to Mahajunga and is very active during the day when it can easily be observed on the trunks and branches of trees.
