Acacia gummifera Willd., Sp. Pl. 4: 1056. 1806

A woody perennial shrub with an spiny branches, up to 2-5 m, leaves composite, bearing 6 to 10 pairs of glabrous leaflets, yellow inflorescences occur in axillary glomerules of upper leaves, the fruit has a pods of about 15 cm, slightly flattened, and curved; slightly contracted in between the seeds.
This species is endemic to Morocco and grows in the argan scrub forest and bushland of the Mediterranean-Sahara regional transition zone.

Hope life is good. We have a number of varieties of acacia but this one is slightly different perhaps due to its pods otherwise the resemblance is striking. I love acacias.Thanks a lot for sharing a wonderful photo. I am a student and teacher of English Literature but you can call me a novice, self-taught botanist.
