|Portrait of Yellow-legged Gull (Larus michahellis).|
These big gulls are characteristic bird symbol of Essaouira city and photographed in the harbour very often by many people. Yellow-legged Gulls are feeding on almost everything which is available: fish scraps left by fishermans, garbage etc. Walking by Essaouira embankment you must watch out not to get 'surprised' by its droppings. ;-)
This bird was waiting for the next fish scrap just behind the drawing fisherman -- check out its blooded feathers on the chest.
However, nice colored species: it has yellow legs (species name!), red spot on the lower part of the bill, and a red ring around the eye also.

This is a lovely capture of a yellow-legged gull, with spot focus on the head and nice deep DOF. The crop/framing is great.
TFS and have a nice night!
