Namib dunes near Swakopmund
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French] |
As soon as we leave Swakopmund, a small coastal town, we enter the Namib Desert. This photo was taken a short distance from the city.
Unlike many of the Namib dunes, which are often of a very strong orange due to a large amount of iron oxide, these colors are more yellow and pastel, indicating that they are more mobile (I guess it's due to the wind coming from the sea, very close). |
