[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
this is dead vlei, a wonderful place in the middle of the namib desert. for me it is a very interesting place. in this valley there are a lot of dead trees, which are standing there since many many years. the ground is extremely dry, this makes this place so special. dead vlei is surrounded by star dunes, which are extremely rare. i was laying on the ground to take this picture, with the wide-angle i could catch the nice structure of the soil. |

Bonjour Catia,
Image très intéressante et prise d'un angle de vue très bas qui nous montre bien les formes spéciales du sol désertique namibien. Le cadrage aurait éventuellement pu être fait autrement.
posting original pour lequel je te remercie

I was out of cookies yesterday when I saw this fascinating picture and meant to come back to look at it more. The pattern is amazing and the pov you picked makes it stand-out more, at the foreground. I like the effect of perspective here because of the wide angle. Great shot, Catia, this must have been a great trip,
Francine

Intersting phenemenon and a nice image, Catia. I think the WA served you well, and I usually don't like to recommend new equipment but, in this case, I think an even wider one lens (like 10mm) might have worked even better for this composition.
