[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sossusvlei is a clay pan in the central Namib Desert, lying within the Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia. Fed by the Tsauchab River, it is known for the high, red sand dunes which surround it forming a major sand sea. Vegetation, such as the camelthorn tree, is watered by infrequent floods of the Tsauchab River, which slowly soak into the underlying clay.

The Dead Vlei and Hidden Vlei clay pans lie near Sossusvlei.

very graet shot.

Ciao di nuovo, Catia, bellissimo quest'albero morto tutto contorto, fantastici i colori del deserto, stupenda composizione, brava, se non ci risentiamo tanti auguri di Buon Natale, ciao Silvio

very nice landscape, TFS Ori

Hello Catia!
This picture has very nice composition! I like it a lot! Also sharpness and natural colours are very good as for me (you kept them in very good way, what - I believe - was not easy in so strong sun :>).
Greetings from Poland,

Hello Catia,
This is probably Dune 45. Not sure about the number. Anyway the one you can climb as we can see in the photo. I've been to Dead Vlei as well. Should be done in the morning....I experienced that. I never ever do this again...
I didn't know there was a Hidden Vlei as well.
Namib-Naukluft is definitely awesome.

Hi Catia

A very beautiful and dramatic landscape from you!
The dry fallen tree adds a lot to the composition by its shape and very nice texture. I is also complemented by the other tree in the back and together they add a very good distance perspective.
Lovely colors and spot-on exposure, too.

Bravo and thanks for sharing

The photo is beautiful for its colors and interesting. You managed to get a high depth of focus. I wonder whether the tree shown here is still alive.

hi Catia

Very lovely landscape view with this strong color contrast of the blue sky gradient and sand dune, the FG wood in natural form.

Amazing to see the people on the sand dune with such scale, and really very good clarity and sharpness in your shot.

Any polarizer of ND grade used?

Excellent work.

tfs, bill
