From wiki..
The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is an atypical member of the cat family (Felidae) that is unique in its speed, while lacking climbing abilities. As such, it is placed in its own genus, Acinonyx. It is the fastest land animal, reaching speeds between 112 and 120 km/h (70 and 75 mph)[3] in short bursts covering distances up to 460 m (1,500 ft), and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 110 km/h (68 mph) in three seconds, faster than most supercars.

This is a young Cheetah captured in Namibia...

Hi Annick,
One gets the feeling that this Cheetah is definitely attempting to communicate something .... like "Get outa my face!"Another excellent capture of a wild creature at its wildest.
Well done.

Steve

Annick,

Nice kitty but I don't think I'd want to get too close to it though.

Hello Annick,

The portret of the cheetah is very well done. The animal is in a fine and expresive pose. Image quality is very high sjowing impressive details. Even the texture of the tongue can be well seen. Colors are naturaly looking and a reachness of color tones has been rendered.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hi Annick

Another very powerful portrait from you, my friend!
The facial expression of this beautiful cheetah is most impressive here and your timing was excellent in order to retain it.
...And that look in its eyes...pfoah!
Very good tight composition here that further enhances the drama of the shot, excellent sharpness and wonderful natural colors.

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Hallo Annick,
Wat een aandoenlijk portret. En van grote klasse. Fantastisch in alle opzichten. Natuurlijker kan niet. Echt perfect!
Vermoedelijk ook op een cheetah farm gefotografeerd?. Wij konden ze daar zelfs aaien. (Staat lekker stoer voor het thuisfront). Er staat op TN een foto van mij waar 2 cheetahs vechten om een stuk vlees.
Groet,
Peter
