Hi Annick!

The delightful colours of the bird and the magnificent background make this picture an outstanding one. I like it very much, it's so colourful. Moreover, the bird's position is very pleasant and the blurred background highlights the rich details of it. But it's that superb yellow spot in the refreshing green that mostly attracts my eyes.

The Weaver is beautiful and the picture is beautiful. An amazing looking bird wit wonderful colors. The expression on his face is priceless. Superb details of the face, eye, beak, wings and plumage. A marvelous pose on the tree. The setting and composition are outstanding.

Hi Annick. This is a beautiful lucking bird with the bright yellow featehrs, and the black face and large orange eye. You have tae this with fine detail and a good POV and DOF. I like the way you have just the bird in full focus. well done TFS.

I have loved your portraits of mammals and I have to confess I even like more the portraits of your birds. This is beautiful, Annick, with a perfect dof right on the bird, wholly sharp. The colours are beautiful and I love the background with the leaves shaped like a fir. Thank you!

A great portrait of a male Masked Weaver. I like the pose and POV and it is well emphasised by the OOF almost misty BG of acacia. Good use of the low aperture!

Annick this is an incredibly beautiful species you show us here. That striking yellow plumage and black face is splendid. I am jealous of your amazing ability with a camera and your travels. For me I fear Africa may only be a dream now, buy living it through your images is an excellent substitute.

I'm again a bit behind on my critiques...sorry about that :(
This is another superb shot from you, my friend!
Once more i love the way you managed to used a shallow DOF that blurs both the FG and the BG leaves here, leaving just a few centimeter's of sharpness - where the entire subject is found.
The details and colors on this very beautiful African masked weaver are impeccable and the overall exposure parameters are spot-on.

Hi Annick,
fantastic red eye this bird has and in it's way is like a negative version of my yellow head blackbird upload of today,without that great red eye however.It looks like it may of been raining at the time of the shoot for this capture and with the shutter speed so very fast I'm surprised that you didn't stop down more.The details are very mellow and there is a pastel softness the light has that looks just beautiful in my eyes.The exposure is very good and I see no overblown highlights.Thanks for sharing this interesting species with a nice glow to it. Hi Annick. Wonderful exposure on this. The black face mask shows up in perfect detail. I wish the DOF was wider to see the branches better. The bird is perfect. Nice and sharp with great colours and details. You can even notice the rust corona. It's framed fantastically. I also like the catch-eye look. Very well done. TFS Trevor
