[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Giraffe is captured in Rehoboth, Namibia.
At sunset.
Location is Lake Oanob Resort. B1 road approx. 100 km from Windhoek. It's situated just a stone's throw north of the Tropic of Capricorn. It's also within southern Namibia as this takes in everything from Rehoboth in the north to the Orange river along the south.

Hello Annick,
Nice to see you back on TN!
Great straight forward frontal portrait of a Giraffe. The technicalities are up to you usual high standard and the composition perfect for the POV.
(I think you took this in Dec 2008, not at the end of this year!)
Thanks and best regards,

Hola Annick.
I am really glad to see you here again with this lovley photo. Very well framed and beautiful side light.

GREAT vertical and even batter background. Together they do some dynamite work for the eye Annick. You haven't lost a thing and even perhaps your art part of the mind is picking up to high speed!

Hi Annick!

Excellent portrait of this 'common' animal. Good POV and composition, high quality. I like this high frame also.

Hi Annick,

Good to see your entry on the site. Good detail and I like the different lighting on the two sides of the face and neck. you were fortunate to get a bit of cloud in Namibia to add interest.

Hi Annick,
Mooie foto, maar niet een van je toppers. Dat komt, denk ik, maar ja wie ben ik, door de compositie. Met alleen de kop, zonder zo veel nek, was de foto wat intiemer overgekomen, denk ik. Technisch overigens erg goed in erg mooie kleuren.

Hi Annick

I hope you are ok, my friend...it's been quite some time since we "chatted", but let me just tell you that, to me, it's always a bit pleasure to visit your gallery here :)
This is a gorgeous shot in which the symmetry works SUPERBLY!
The frontal POV is just outstanding and the side lighting on the giraffe really does give it a good depth and saturation for the colors.
Lovely work, my friend!

Bravo and TFS
