[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Dead Vlei

It's a small valley between high dunes (up to 200 mt) and one of the most photographed place in Namibia.
It's part of the Namib-Nauflukt National Park.

Dead Vlei is an old pan which has not had regular water since the river changed its course. Now it just has the skeletons of old acacias here, some of them well over 500 years old.

Hi Andrea

Such beautiful landscapes you have seen on you trip. The colors are great and the sand dunes make a perfect BG for the photo. The pattern in the sand also dravs my attention. Very nice

TFS
Mattias

Ciao Andrea!
Another beautiful landscape shot you brought back. I like three different layers of strong, saturated colors very much. However, I'd say that the tree is pushed a little bit too much into the corner. Not a big deal, though, and I still think you did a very good job. Congratulations,
Mark

Hi Andrea,
Beautiful from bottom to top, with interesting texture in the foreground and nice saturated colours of sky and dunes.
Well done and TFS

Hi Andrea,
Strong three-color landscape. Acacia skeleton tells about better times respect to water! The shot is beautiful but a litte frightening when looking at it from a place with so hard temperatures and little rain like the south of Spain.
TFS, José M.

Hello Andrea,
this is a great landscape. Excellent POV, sharpness and colours. This is a great composition. Thank you for posting.

Bonjour Andrea, votre composition est trés reussie!! Great landscape with beautiful colors and a splendid POV. Ce viel arbre mort attire le regard!! Magnifique, Didier.

This part of Namibia has such a surreal look to it. The sharpness of your image really adds to the effect.
Thanks for sharing a special image.

Hi Andrea,
It looks like you had a really productive vacation in Africa. Are you going to create a traveloque for your photos? I like the details in the f/g and the overall colors. The composition is really good.
TFS,

Hello Andrea,
The name tells all. Your picture depict this well. Bright sunshine, no clouds in sight, dead tree, everything bake dry. Excellent composition. Very well done and TFS.

I really like the foreground leading you up to the tree in this picture and can't help wanting the picture to be bigger and with a touch more space to the right of the tree (only a few mm).

Pequeño y maravilloso retrato Andrea, con gran sentido estético.
Fuertes colores y contrastes, excelente encuadre y nitidez, que permite apreciar las texturas del suelo tan árido.
Hermosa composición.
Saludos... Ricardo

Little and wonderful portrait Andrea, with great aesthetic sense.
Strong colors and contrasts, excellent framing and sharpness, that it allows to appreciate the textures of the so arid ground.
Beautiful composition.
Greetings... Ricardo

Hello Andrea!

Wonderful composition, my friend!!! I like the contrast between the so blue sky and the so arid ground! Colors here are great! Excellent pov also! The only thing maybe is that I would have put a little more space right to the tree (the branch is too near the frame).

Great picture and TFS,

Michel

Bonjour,
A voir l'état de l'arbre, le climat doit être rude dans la région.
Bonne journée.

Hi again, Andrea

I simply can't get enough of your Namibia pictures! I like them all very much!
This one is another splendor, with a splendid composition, very beautiful colors and light. The timing of the shot is also impecable, just like the exposure management.
Again, very well done, my friend!

I wish i could say some beautiful words for all your Namibia shot, but unfortunatelly there are limited points and there are other very nice posts i missed this last week from other great photographers that i have to attend to...but i really want you to know that i love all of yours :)

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Your Namibia, is just so "Namibia" exactly how I clichee it from the old explorers and National Geographic documentaries...

buona lo scatto e la compèosizione.

Caspita, scheletri di alberi di oltre 500 anni !!
I colori di questi scatti sono veramente eccezionali. Il senso di abbandono è estremo.
Anche questa, composizione e toni molto belli !!

Ciao,
Silvio

Lovely, it would have been even more powerful if you had posted a little larger, but still a wonderful shot

Hi
