Lives in the zones desert. To make drink their youngs , the parents soak their feathers like a sponge and fly back to the small birds which recover the water contained in the plumage.

Hello Chrisitan !
A wonderful bird, and you have captured him so nicely ! Beautiful detailson the bird, natural colors, beautiful light and DOF, and nicely composed. I also like the pose of the bird, he didn't seem to be afraid of you. Very well done !

Fine clear shot of the male Namaqua Sandgrouse. You must have come very close to take such a good shot with a 50 mm lens!

That's really brilliant, what a beautiful bird you've shot! Excellent detail and colour of the plumage. Perhaps cropped a bit to tight.
Thanks, Ulla

Hello Christian,

What a wonderful picture of this very nice bird! I like the position of the bird and your pov. The only thing is that IMO, you cropped the bird a little too much. You mastered perfectly the exposition and we can see a lot of details! Great picture and TFS,

Michel

Great shot. I love everything about it.
