In the same area as the Green Monkeys I saw this Red Colobus.
The Red Colobus are Old World monkeys of the subgenus Piliocolobus in genus Procolobus. Some authors elevate Piliocolobus to a full species, limiting Procolobus to the Olive Colobus. They are closely related to the Black-and-White colobus monkeys (genus Colobus) and some species are often found in groups with the Blue Monkey.
The Western Red Colobus (Procolobus badius) is a species of Old World monkey found in West African forests from Senegal to Ghana. All other species of red colobuses have formerly been considered subspecies of P. badius. It is often hunted by the Common Chimpanzee. In 1994, Western Red Colobus monkeys infected many chimpanzees with Ebola virus when they were hunted/eaten by the same chimpanzees.

The members of this subgenus are found in western, central and eastern Africa, and the species have largely allo- or parapatric distributions. Most are restricted to humid forests, but the Zanzibar Red Colobus prefers coastal thickets and scrub. Red colobuses are highly sensitive to hunting and habitat destruction, and have been referred to as probably the most threatened taxonomic group of primates in Africa. Consequently, if following the below taxonomic treatment, all species except the Central African Red Colobus are considered Endangered or Critically Endangered by IUCN.

Hello Peter,
It's an amazing and special monkey you present here. I used to think that Colobus had always a vey strange long nose, but here it is different. This species has some very black stripes which make me think about an African mask. And the feet also remind me in their position of a.. kangaroo. All in all a very special creature. I like the pose you caught it on your picture.
Kind regards

Hallo Peter,

Hi Peter. Wonderful and cute catch of this beauty.

Sacaste buen partido a la luz Peter. Una toma expresiva, realista y bien equilibrada. No conozco, obviamente ninguna de estas especies.
Un abrazo y gracias por tus amables comentarios:

Hello Peter,
A nice POV and pose make this a very good portait of the Western Red Colobus monkey. This, together with the composition natural colours and sharpness contribute to a text-book portrait of this species that is new to me and possibly to TN.
Thanks and have a good week,
