Haha, great capture! What a pose!
Good details and light on the heron against a nice bokeh.

Hello Tom,
Excellent picture. It is the symbol of pride here. You have captured it nicely with well sharpness and colour. In original picture You had captured more than one bird.I can see feather in the left side of the photograph.
I like it.Outstanding clarity with blurry BG helps here to catch the subject.
Thanks for sharing such awesome photograph,
Kind regards,
Srikumar

Hi Tom
It was like that for me coming to Australia from Canada. Australia is cooler now but in January it was 32-35 degrees with humidity as high as 70-77%. A shower doesn't mean much. Great capture of this Heron. Very weird stretch. Your morning light was good for a super photo. Good POV, and eye contact, with lots of detail. Good light management in the hi-lights. Your DOV shows the bird off very well. Job well done.
Thanks for sharing
Best regards

Hi Tom
Pyramidal form like this heron really is very much suited for such a central composition. Very nice picture. In thumbnail this one looks like its sitting cross legged Indian style.
Thanks

Hi Tom
I am not a fan of heat and high humidity, and it is not good for our equipment either ;)
This is just the sort of reward that the early rising photographer deserves - low angle and fairly low contrast lighting that picks out the plumage details in a way that the mid-day sun cannot. Apart from the distinctive pose, the subtle greys and white os the bird are nicely complemented here by the mottled green background that looks almost like a studio backdrop. Nicely done.
Best wishes, Nigel.
