[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Seychelles fruit bat or Seychelles flying fox, Pteropus seychellensis, is a megabat found on the granitic islands of Seychelles, and on the Comoros and Mafia Island. It is a significant component of the ecosystems for the islands, dispersing the seeds of many tree species. Although it is hunted for meat on some islands they remain abundant. It is particularly common on Silhouette Island.

Hello Tom,
I would have to imagine that capturing a bat inflight would be a very difficult feat. You have done a fantastic job of photographing this beautiful flying Fruit Bat. Focus is sharp and colors are true and natural. Wonderful work!!

Hi Tom
Great in flight capture. I have been trying to do the same thing in Australia. I am getting close but not there yet. Very nice pose and composition. I think considering the light, their colour you captured all the detail there was.
Thanks for sharing
Best regards
Colin

Hello Tom,

A fine inflight capture of this attractive, legendary bat species. The light is perfect on the telltale head and blue bg contrast the dark wings so well. Impressive sharpness and clicked in perfect timing for the optimum viewpoint. Congrats on this beauty!

Regards,

Derek

Hello Yom
this is a difficult shot I guess. The bat you presented here is so special and exciting. The head is sharp and the long wings deliver a nice feature of the creature. I like this frozen moment.
