same bird than here but different pose and square format.
the light came mainly from below as the Heron was sitting just above a white coral beach

Delightful capture of the Heron in a somewhat comic pose, Tom.
I like the composition with the the bird and its perch isolated from the BG.
Thanks and regards.
Ram

Lovely shot, Tom. Beautiful low-angle early morning light, illuminating the bird against the nicely complementary OOF background. It looks like it's about to regurgitate a pellet of undigested food remains - or is it calling?
Best wishes, Nigel.

Hello Tom,
what a beautiful model and its nice shot. I have seen only a young of this species, with striates, in Oman.
You nicely captured it on dried branche and against blurry BG. POV/Dof also very nice as like focus. Thanks for sharing. All the best
Ahmet

Hello Tom,
A fine capture, timed to show this Striated Heron either about to regurgitate or swallow whatever was stuck in the throat.
Superb POV taken with fine sharpness and natural colours against a contrasting BG.
Thanks and regards,
Ivan

Hello Tom
such a lovely heron doing its call for attraction. The features are splendid especially its long neck. I like the blurry background in giving the beauty to its best. The details of the wing is splendid.
Well composed and presented shot.

Hello Tom,
From this angle it looks like it's head and neck are really huge compared to the rest of it's body. I have never seen this type of heron before, although it reminds me a little bit of a young Night Heron. I like the way you captured it calling out. Focus is sharp and colors are vivid yet natural. Well done!!
Ron

Hi Tom,
Great shot of this Heron either calling its mate or trying to swallow something. But either way it is a great shot. Great POV and great details. Well done and thanks for sharing.
