I like your capture. The details of the birds feathers very good. I like the sharpness of the eye. The DOF is perfect. The POV is very good. Did you lay on the ground to get it?

From your beautifully exposed standing portrait one can clearly see why this ones called a thickknee. The extra low POV, the colours of the bed of dried leaves and the dark BG really bring out superbly this curlew..

Hallo Deon,
The composition is perfect with a low POV, warm colours and DOF. However there is a bit of noise in the BG which can easily be corrected with a noise reduction program like Neat Image, etc.

Aanvaar asb my eerlike kommentaar. Dit kan somtyds taai wees maar ons leer baie daaruit.
