I took this Green Tree Locust in my garden with my sons “help” We saw this guy land in a flowerbed and I had to lie on my tummy supporting the camera on my fist in order to get this angle. My son held a reflective sunshield focusing the reflection on the hopper.

Your son as photographer's assistant and your description of how you took the shot make a good note and provide an image in my mind. Photo is very good, a nice apple and cream hopper. Very good Japie & Son.

Otra especie distinta Japie de estos hermosos aunque perjudiciales insectos.
Bonita composicion entre el color del ambiente y el verde y amarillo del cuerpo de la langosta.
Correcto DOF y encuadre con una excelente nota.

Another different species Japie from these beautiful although detrimental insects.
Pretty composition between the color of surrounding and the green and yellow of body of the grasshopper.
Correct DOF and frame with an excellent note.

The anticipation is killing me... what did you get at WOB? Please post one or many!

Ohh.. Smart green hopper you got. Great capture.

le sol est vraiment d'une tres belle couleur, ce qui fais ressortir encore mieux le vert de l'insecte !
la photo manque legerement de nettete mais elle reste tres belle.
nice done.

A very nice capture.
Lovely colours and details with great DoF.
A good shot and a great note.
Very well done.

Japie, I'm jealous! You have assistants I see! This looks very much like the one I posted a couple of weeks ago..commonly known as a "Handsome Grasshopper". Your wings extend behind the abdomen & there are slight differences in the markings but they are hard to tell apart. Like the results I see from the sunshield..Gotta get me one someday...Great job!

well Japie,
I love the shot, very nice capture, I think that the macro is a succes, because the wonderfull colours in the composition. I wonder me what is the purple thing on the right side.
