Hello George,
I have seen many photos and films on the National Geographic channel of these wild beasts, but none that show it's beautiful colors and unique features quite like this shot. Maybe it's because it is a Black Wildebeest because to tell you the truth, I really didn't know there was more then one species.
What I like is the way it's mane is bristled straight up on it's upper back and neck, I never saw one with these beautiful cinnamon colors. It's coat seems to have a reddish chocolate hue to it which is so attractive.
The bristled hair on it's nose stands out perfectly at this particular angle and you can even make out the orangish brown color of it's eye. I like the way your 1/1250 shutter speed completely froze the action and also the nice exposure you managed to capture. Great job George!!
Hope all is well with you guys in Africa, as I have been trying to keep up on the news about the Ebola outbreak. Very scary situation. Stay well...

You have transcended beyond the prosaic and mundane and matured into a nature artist, George. Each of your rare pictures seen here has been a work of high quality art. The light effects in this picture of a Wildebeest make my day.
I bow to you in admiration!

Hello George,
Amazing light....Excellent shoot as usual. The colors of this specie are indeed a little different from those I see on the National Geographic channel.

Hi George, truly beautiful this widebeest caught in a running moment, the quality of detail is absolutely great despite the fast mouvement,i like the scenery too painted by lights and shadows.Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Goeie dag George. Wat n fantastiese foto. Ek het nog nie die kans gekry om die swart Wildebees in Kruger Nasionale Park te sien nie. Die manier hoe jy die beligting gedoen het hier hou ek baie van. Baie dydelike kleur foto. Dankie dat jy dit met ons deel. Groete daar , geniet U dag- Srikumar

Hi George
Great action photo. The colour of the animal, the green background and the sunlight are blending beautifully. Congrats
