[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have captured this picture of Grey-Headed Gull (Chroicocephalus cirrocephalus) at Marievale Bird Sanctuary. It was cloudy and very windy day and nice to watch inter play of light and shade through out the day. It was drizzling, may be 5/6 minutes. I saw this Gull flying, couldn't get time to do zoom. So here used 150mm and later cropping.

Grey-Headed Gull is a small Gull which breeds in South America and Africa south of the Sahara. It has pale grey head, a grey body, and red bill and legs.

Timely captured, Srikumar. The drizzle drops and the moon add interest.
Good sharpness as well.

Hi Srikumar
Superb. The drizzle has not reduced the sharpness of the bird ( particularly the eye). The sun ( is it sun?) and the clouds in the background enhance the image. Gem.

Hello Srikumar,
What an impressive shot of this neat looking gull. The rain, dark clouds and hidden sun all play a major role in creating a mystical kind mood in my opinion. I love the unconcerned facial expression on the gulls face, almost as if it hadn't a care in the world. I also like the way the frontal edges of its wings are illuminated and the underside is in shadow. You could take a thousand shots and never come up with a composition like this.
