Whiskerd Tern (Chlidonais hybrida)

I have captured this juvenile 'Whiskerd Tern' at Marieval Bird Sanctuary, early in the morning. Birders must know how fast this bird moves and take turn just above the water surface. So it was a challenging shot to me.
The size, black cap and its fork like tails are characteristics. The crown is flecked with white in the juvenile and you can see it clearly in my picture.

Hi Srikumar, great help by the morning light to take so well this in flight tern. With this sun on the bird the situation is perfect, and the result is absolutely perfect with fine details everywhere to freeze the moment in the best way, lovely warm colors in background too. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hi Srikumar,
that's it ! You know all the angles of good bird photography. Thanks for presenting the hovering Tern on TN .

My best regards, Dietrich

Hi Srikumar,

This is a striking image of the tern...extremely difficult to freeze the bird..yet obtain such details...magnificent!!

Warm Regards,

Outstanding capture of this bird. Even though I do not know the species, it is clear that this is one of those small, very fast moving birds, and you did a wonderful job to catch it in flight like this.

An stunning 3D-IMAGE also what a lovely warm colours well done SRIKUMAR BALIAL

Hi Sri,
This is fantastic. The bird's so sharp that no one would think (well, from the position only...) it's an action shot. Perfect fast shutter / wide f-stop combination, the photo's simply a stunner. Tack sharp plumage, great pose, lovely warm colors of the background - I love your white balance here also. Hats off for this beautiful shot. I don't know why are you absent from the site at this moment, but I hope you return soon with your gorgeous wildlife photography.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
