Reed Cormorant (Microcarbo africanus)

I have captured this Reed Cormorant early in the morning at Marieval Bird Sanctuary, South Africa. It was bit cloudy and that moment light was in the background which was dry reeds.
It's also known as 'Long-Tailed Cormorant' and you could see its in my picture why it got such name. It breeds in much of Africa south of the Sahara and Madagascar 🇲🇬. Their nest mainly in the tree or on the ground, hidden by long grasses.

Hi Srikumar
A bit different to those that I usually see in my region.
Neat presentation, perfect sharpness and exposure.

Hi Sri,
Are you sure you made a proper red-eye reduction? ☻ Fantastic shot, not only due to the mesmerizing red eye, but due to the color gamut of the background also. Very good contrast with the predominantly black bird. Head and the underneck territory are tack sharp, probably the lower wing could have been slightly sharpened more. Anyway, a majestic piece of art. Congratulations!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
