Hi Paul, I think its a female fiscal flycatcher, sigelus silens. Good shot, they dont often sit around for one, 400 must have helped so you didnt have to go in too close. I think you could have enhanced the image impact a little more in photoshop or similar. Regards, Rob

Great composition, nice catchlight in eye, sharp details.

Very nicely composed. The diagonal of the branch gives the image a nice effect. The outstanding deep blue BG is a wonderful contrast to the plumage colour of this lovely bird. POV is excellent, light is spot on allowing clear plumage detail. You have managed the exposure very well and the catchlight in the eye has defined the eye nicely. Congrats, this is an impressive shot. Thanks.
