Hi Annick. Its so colourful it jumps of the screan. Fantastic close up of the face . First class detail and rich colours in the feathers. wel ldone TFS.
I was wondering where Ghent is in Limpopo.
Beautifully sharp with good colour. Very good for shady conditions. Good composition with the eye in a strong position,

This is a very fine portret of the parrot as you got a fine expresion of the bird and excelent colors. The way you have focused on the head looks great and shows good sharp details. There is also a very nice contrast between the colors of the bird and the gray background.
Thank you for sharing,

Great close-up portrait of this beautiful bird. Great sharpnes, details, colours, light, DOF and POV.
This is a great shot, I love the detail in the face. It really makes you try and figure out what he's thinking. However, I do have to correct you on something...this is actually a Greenwing Macaw, not a Scarlet. Greenwings are bigger, have green instead of yellow in their wing, and they have red markings on their face where the scarlets have no markings on their face. This is one of the most common mistakes of bird identification. Just wanted to update you. Really nice shot though.
