Hello Neels,

It's the same species "Dark-Capped Bulbul"/ Common Bulbul, you have posted. Yes, I have seen it's white ring. Have a look in Wikipedia or if you have the book "Gateway to Kruger MAP & GUIDE" by Andy and Lorrain Tinker's.

It's a common species in South Africa.
