[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took this picture during our vaction in South Africa a few months back. the monkeys were playing like crazy, very entertaining to watch. Managed to take this "funny shot", which was taken with a bit of luck.

I must say that I do think that the continuous autofocus on Canon 20D is lacking a bit (had to throw quite a few pictures away) particulary on those unpredictable running and jumping monkeys. Might be lack of competence on my side too :) Wonder if the Canon 1d Mark II would really made a lot of difference here.

Hi,
That's a fantastic action shot. Good colors, light and focus! Excellent work!
Regards, Krzysztof.

Hi Kim. I dont know why you say the AF lacks a bit, I see it great. The moment is just super, and the expression of the monkey beautiful.
Good post, TFS.

Very good action shot, Kim. These monkeys, I believe, are called Lemur Catta. I like this picture because the monkey facing the camera looks as if it were watching the other one to do some stunt which is not really working out and just wants to help the falling fellow. Very funny moment captured here. Congratulations,
Mark

Hi Kim,

I like the action in this photo! The eyes of the animal on the right are superb.
TFS.

regards,
Zeno.

Hello Kim,
This is very unusuall shot! I would say it is full of action and the monkey in flight looks mostly amazing. Pity that the framing is too tight and the feet and tail are cut. The other fellow looks great too with the hands up. I think the details and lighting are really good and overall this is a superb shot!
VERY WELL DONE!

I love the expression an articulated position the lemurs are displaying in this fun picture. Well done. Lemurs are prosimians(bushbabies, galagos, lemurs, lorises & pottos) not monkeys, although they are in the primate order. Well done Kim. ;)

P&ST :)

Hi Kim,
Hele mooie photo met een fantastische uitdrukking in de ogen van de lemur rechts, en de handjes zijn ook heel leuk om te zien.
Het zijn uiteraard Lemuurs die normaal gezien enkel op Madagascar leven.

Great action shot!
It's so funny,I love the "worried" look on the monkeys eyes.:)
TFS!
