[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The male's black plumage, bright chestnut belly, vent and rump and the white shoulder patch are diagnostic. Female is very different in appearance ; dark grey replaces the black and she has a red brown-belly, vent and rump. Habitat : Bases of cliffs and thickly wooded rocky slopes. Common but localized in the south-eastern, eastern and nothern region.

Hi Farid
very apealing compo with dark BG at the upper dark side of the bird and redish BG at the redish lower side of the bird.
That is GREAT but,
otherwise the compo is terrible with full centered bird. Just crop the whole empty left space and let the bird look into the open right space. Never forget the rule of thirds, although it can easily be broken, this is not the case in this picture.

Hi Farid,
Very well solved picture in spite of the difficulty of a dark background and the black color of the bird... Crisp shot, natural colors... Great work! Marta

I have never seen this bird before. what a catch! sharp details, beautiful bg and excellent colors. TFS!

Nice job on this Farid, I like it.
Perhaps a bit less space left, not much though..
Very well done.

Hello Farid,
Nice image.
A bit dark at first sight but the latter doesn't really matter.
Well done
