southern yellow-billed hornbill - Tockus leucomeias
common resident.
this bird must be synonimous to the Kruger National Park. You will see them and they are not at all shy.
It flies in a very interesting fashion. It goes in a wave motion, up-down-up-down.... I dont know how to explain... come to Kruger!.
This one looked bit grumpy and was looking straight at me.

Superb eye contact!
This is a fabulous image, well-detailed and with excellent colours and a fine dof for f/5.6!

Hello Paul,
Not really the most hansome bird I've ever seen, but I like the pose and the look in it's eyes very much.
Seems like he's trying to tell you that one shot is enough and buzz off after :)
Beautiful image with wonderful feather details.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,

The way you've captured this Yellow-billed Hornbill's feathers is really quite remarkable...and stunning, too! Very nicely done.
