[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I love my camera but one of its limitations is the pathetic 2x zoom it has. Normally this is not so much of a problem as most of my shots don't need it. The big exception was my visit to South Africa. I couldn't get out of the car and walk closer to my subject.

We all work with what we have, so this shot was taken with my camera lens inserted into the eyepiece of my 10x zoom binoculars. That is what is giving the circular black border. This may sound easier than it actually is. Focusing, camera wobble, binocular wobble and just getting the whole lot aimed at the right spot is a minor headache.
I know it is not a great shot, the lion didn't listen to my knid instructions to move away from the twig. My aim here is to give you a laugh at my desperate techniques to get a closer shot.

Mark

By the way, this is taken at the Lion Park on the outskirts of Johannesburg. For those who didn't get close enough or didn't manage to spot one in Kruger, you are almost guaranteed of a close shot here.

For what you had and the way you took this shot, two thumbs up. I see we are alike when it comes to get that shot.
I use a binocular lens for macro. LOL
Excelent work.

Mike

Nice capture, good sharpness. It's just framed a bit too tight.
Well done.
TFS.
