Thanks a lot for all the nice words about this favourite shot of mine.
Let me give more details about this pic.
This is taken at N'Swatishaka waterhole at Krugerpark South Africa on March 2005 at around 12:30 pm. I was about to return from the waterhole and suddenly I saw these three cheetahs in my rear view mirror!! They were being chased by a bunch of baboons! my next photo will shed more light on this! ;-)
There are only 70 cheetahs in krugerpark (20,000 sq. km) and I was very very lucky to spot these magnificent three! Here in this photo the alpha male is trying to scare the baboon away.

Wonderful shot of this group of cheetahs. Excellent composition of the threesome. The details on the front one are very sharp. You caught him in a great pose. Good exposure as well. Thank you for posting, and a very warm welcome to TN. : )

Superb photograph of cheetah. I like much the very cat-like position of the one in foreground, and the similar glance of his comparses to the back. It releases from it a kind of spirit of family at the same time as a powerful grace.

Well done, and welcome to TN!

What a dream shot Paul. Seeing these in the "wild" must be amazing. Good exposure, nice colours. A small tip, add some more info in your note :) about where this was, conditions, tools used and mabye about the animal itself.

Welcome to TN, really hope you enjoy yourself

Very good first picture Paul.
Good composition, colours, sharpness and nice DOF.
Very well done.

Welcome to TN.

Great shot, I love these cats, good sharpness and POV (point of view) . I just find the 2 others a little distracting.
Welcome to TN.
Well done.

A scene where I am looking forward to see again in a couple of months. Good motives and details. I would personally prefer a lower aperture (if possible with your lens) for a more blurred BG. TFS !

Hello. You entered on TN with a wonderfull shot. You took advantage of a good oportunity. Be very wellcome and thank you to share.
A tip: you should give more comments to your photos, so we can rate it.

Welcome to TN, Paul. Its a exceptional moment you captured here. The two other cats in the BG and OOF adds a nice touch. The crop is a bit tight and I think more space to the left of them would have improved the composition. Very well done.

I look forward to you next posts.

Great shot of one of my favourite animals. I've been in Krugerpark twice, but I didn't see cheeta.I guess you're a lucky man.
My compliments for this great composition.

Zeno.

Beautiful catch, Paul, during what looks to be a strategic moment for the baboon. Very expressive animals. Superb and powerful image.

This is a stunning picture. The posture of the front cheetah speaks a thousand words. Look at the puffed-up tail, the mane standing erect and the stare. "Don't mess with me!." I like the composition of the picture as well.

Superbe photo. J'adore aussi la lumière qui donne une dimension supplémentaire à la composition.
