Masked Weaver (Ploceus velatus)
This is an image of a female Masked Weaver. She is responsible for inspection of the nest prior to breeding. If she is happy with the construction of the nest it is unseremoniously demolished and the male has to start from scratch.
Shooting data: Nikon D70. Sigma 170-500mm set to 400mm. ISO 400. |

Very nice composition. Ben the fruit adds just a splash of contrasting colour. Details are very sharp. Nice one to ID with.

Ben, Nice shot. Good composition with the elements ont he right. They add structure to your shot. The head seems to vanish in the background as it has the same colours.
