Hi Gerhard, it is great landscape shot, it is after all part of nature, so I think it should be here. :) Nice contrast, all the river bank had different colours grass on it, and the tree just beautiful. Great shot, well done, thanks for sharing.

Gerhard, excellent scene here. I love the tree and the different levels of colours and textures from the dry grasses at the front, all the way to the sky behind. It's a pity about the wildebeest taking off. And the tree is well placed too. Very good shot, thankyou...
I like it Gerhard. Stripes of grass and water and sky make great composition. Tree is very interesting in shape. Pity that sky wasn't more intense in colour. I'm not expert but as I wrote - good shot for me.

Awesome Gerhard. This is very well composed. The POV is spot on. It gives very good perspective to the shot. The shape of the tree is wonderful. Nice work. Congrats!

This is a great shot as it is, well balanced, it has color but also B&W (lower ground vs. upper ground) it has horizontal vs. vertical (soil vs. tree) it has hope vs. desperation (blue water vs. leafless tree) the lower ground has warm colurs while the upper has sinistrous colors. Its not a bad composition at all Gerry !
Its a great landscape Gerhard,
I like all the different levels of colour and the composition is excellent.
The sky is just a bit washed out, maybe a polarizer filter would have improved that.
A great shot,well done.

Very nice landscape Gerhard,
Well composed, good detail, excellent colours.
I think a polarizer filter would have finished this shot off really well.
Thanks for posting

Very good for a first. I like the brown-blue-green layers at the bottom. Very pleasant view. I think you have the eye for landscape if not the habit.

Hello Gerhard.
Personal assessment of the photo: great.
Good visual impact.
Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: complete.
Thank you very much for sharing this beautifull landscape. I remember the sunset you post last November. You know, I am not used with landscapes myself. I do not know why. I find very interesting to see where you take your close-up photos.
Have a great day, friend. If one day I take a photo which represent Canada to my eyes I will put it under the theme you have created.

Hello Gerhard, Having missed the widebeest must have been a let-down! Still, it's a pleasant composition and pleasing to the eye..It's great to see the countryside where the Gerhardbeest roams! ;-)) Well done!
