[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the same Bulbul as in my previous post, captured during the same morning session. The aspect ratio is quite different though as it's a square now. Also the distance towards the bird is somewhat increased partially due to a lesser crop.
The main reason I posted this similar image is the Bulbul's isolation in the middle of leaves and branches.
Besides I wanted these brownish butterfly-like leaves to be involved as well. You can't see this in a still but it's really wonderful to see these leaves in the early morning especially in combination with the savanna wind. Pure gold.
Finally I'm a bit puzzled about the identification and I wonder if these are the Mopane tree's leaves?

A delightful capture Annick!
This fine sharp portrait of the Black-capped Bulbul is well composed and framed by the OOF vegetation in a great pose an from an excellent POV.

Hello Annick,
Lovely capture of this Bulbul in a very nice pose. Great focus on the eye, very clear details and beautiful colours. I like the background too although I would have cropped it a bit more at the top. Still a lovely composition.

Past mooi in het rijtje van Bulbul foto's. Scherpte en kleuren zijn weer schitterend. Vooral de omgeving is ook prachtig. In dezelfde kleurtonen. Perfecte compositie.

this is very nice capture in your bulbul seri. POV, composition, focus and eyes contact great. This species very similar yellow vented bulbul here, with its dark head and yellow lower ventral part.

Funny looking bird. I like its pose very much, it looks very vigilant. Nice, blurred BG and light. I'm not sure about composition - maybe it could be better without so much space from the left side?
