|The hornbill [ Bucerotidae]are family of bird found in sub tropical and tropical Africa and Asia.Characterised by a long down curved bill which is frequently brightly coloured. |
They feed mainly on fruit and small animals. They are monogamous breeders nesting in natural cavities in trees and cliffs. They are also threatened with extinction.
Hornbills are diurnal usually travelling in pairs or small family groups.Large flocks usually form during the non breeding season.
