Fantastic studio work of an amazing and skill photo model. I love your natural studio. Pose of the model is simply great. She had a nice teachers and I am sure only the best marks. Illumination at your studio is outstanding. All details of the model as well as details of the "stage" are illuminated perfectly. I also like natural decoration there and perfect DOF. Colours of the picture are sweet as well as touching and nice dedication and complete note. Hi Anna. A nice dedication to Janice i am sure see will love it. This is an animal i have only seen in a zoo as a young child. So maybe one day i will see one in the wild. Until then i will make do with this fine clear picture. You were blessed by the clear sky after the rain . Which has given bright colours and fine detail in this beautiful animal. This is one of the birds that are being featured often on the site, but also one of those that you do not get bored of easily. This little guy actually attracted me more because of its brilliantly coloured chest feathers, and the big black eye. It is very striking. A beautiful close-up with details that is very eye-catching and prominent. Thanks for sharing this bird that has a lovely proud pose.

Giraffes are impressive animals and of elegant beauty. You rendered it so well with this picture taken in its natural surrronding and of course from a lower point of view!
Interesting pose and beautiful blue sky. Interesting note too. I never have seen a picture of a giraffe which lies down.

Dear Anna,
Fantastically composed shot, perfect lights and sharpness on the giraffe. It's so good to be here on this site and to look at such great photographs of animals which I only have the possibility to see in zoo. I really don't know what I should do if something like this crossed my way in our local forests while I'm lying on the ground and am just doing my fungi or insect macros... :)

Hey Anna - thank you!!

He's a BIG fellow - much bigger than our Auckland Zoo giraffes!! Looking at him a second time - he's HUGE...

And what a beautiful animal he is too. That little head looks so strange on that big body, but I guess / I know that God made him like that for that very special reason of eating the greenery off the tall trees. And He equipped his body with all the correct inner organs to keep working perfectly.

Thank you Anna for posting this for me - but I'm not sure about me being the matriarch of TN. But I have been on TN for a while. And I do come back and post every now and then too.

I love the the majestic pose and the colors of the sky which compliments the other colors in the picture. Simple but effective shot. Its also nice to see that acacia plant , (which I think it is! ) having green leaves compared to the surrounding grass, and these fellows love them!! and only they and elephants can exploit them right

Hello Anna, I have taken many photos of giraffe but this is probebly the best I have seen. Because of their size, they are difficult to photograph, some part of it always seems to be obscured by branches or a bush. You wre at the right place at the right time, with perfect lighting. Well done!

Hi Anna!

Janice merits this fine and beautiful dedication. I like the pose of the giraffe and the fact that the trees allow a comparison with its dimensions. Moreover, you realized this dedication in your usual pleasant manner, with a technically fine picture, that nevertheless is not as perfect as usually. Although I'm not in front of my personal high quality screen, it seems to me to notice traces of postprocessing around the animal... and I have the impression that there's something wrong with the sharpness. Maybe I'm wrong and it's only the quite low quality imposed by TN. All this doesn't change anything to the fact that the overall impression of this classical wildlife picture is very pleasant. I also like the very detailed and instructive notes.

This is one of my most favorite mammals, they are absolutely gorgeous and your image does much justice to the beauty of this animal in that nice African backsetting. Makes me want to come and visit even more. Very nice Anna. :)
