|Gamskaskloof otherwise known as "The Hell" is surrounded by the Swartberg Nature Reserve. Vegetation ranges from fynbos at the high altitudes to Karoo succulents as one descends into the valley.Valley floor is covered with dense riverine shrubs, thorn trees and spectacular "klapperbosse"|
The kloof gets its main name from the Khosian word for lion - Gamka- also the river that enters the valley from the north. There are 153 species of birds even fish eagle from time to time. Wildlife includes klipspringer, grey ehebuck,rooikat,porcupine and leapord.Scanned from an old slide.

Hope you'll be doing fine friend. I wonder why after 44 views there were no comments, this thing disturbs me a lot because if moderators are not taking any steps, the older members must share this task and make it a point to view those photos which go without comments to page 2 or page 3. With a little responsibility it can be done by all collectively. OK, let us forget this comments game. I really, really am very impressed by this photo and the lighting captured in this one is amazing and the note very invaluable.Some of the fading sunlight has captured this mist rising, the atmosphere is really very mysterious and romantic. Hi Ewin. I would have never of thought this was a picture of Africa, For some reason i did not expect to see so many mountains. You have captured this with an unusual light but i must say i like the look it gives.A bit like an oil painting It sounds sucg an interesting place to visit , TFS.
