Thanks Gerhard. Great image and once again a very informative note. I submitted a few images to TrekEarth but sadly most of the backslappers there add little constructive commentary with the images.
These creatures are always a challenge to get sharp throughout and still have them stand out from the background. You might even be able to improve it a little by darkening the background to the right.

Nice shot. I like how they bring the wings forward. Excellent detail. Looks like it may be slightly over sharpened as I can see a halo around the tail end. Has it landed on gold? :-)

Hi Gerhard,

This is a lovely scarlet. I love the red color. Details on the scarlet are great, but I think you should have used a smaller aperture to get a wider dof. Composition and POV are great. Well done & TFS!
