A colourful specimen George, I think the frame should be turned 90 degrees clockwise for the right posture. Am also a little astonished regarding the distal part of the abdomen, it should be in sharp focus with an f/14.0, either it moved during the exposure, or your lenses optical axis was not quite perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the grasshopper, still a fine image with that bluish BG...

Ciao George, fantastic grasshopper, superb macro with fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi George,
a new fine macro shot and this time a bit to close for proper DOF.
Otherwise it's very fine with good sharpness where it counts.
Nice natural colours and I like the compo too.
Good work as usual, my friend.

Have tried the function in Ps4; the"DOF Stitch". Photoshop tool Autoblend
Find a co-operative model and get great DOF with a big aperture. I have done some tests here
Regards
Gert

Hi George,

Another good macro photo presented here.
The detail is very god although the DOF is a bit shallow for the subject.
Nice colours on the body and a good use of flash.
Good capture and TFS

Sion

Hello George!
Very interesting and very colourful grasshopper species. I can see it for the first time. Very nice composition, saturation, and light. DOF and sharpness are also very good.
I like also a note, short but informative.
All the best from central Europe! :>
Radomir

Hello George,
Beautiful photo in fantastic colours and a great sharp focus on the head. Good POV and DOF.
Have a nice weekend,
Peter

Hello George,
My dear friend, the picture is good in all respects, most laudable is the correct POV and perfect light (as usual in your shots). Except for the small focus lost in the rear of the Grasshopper; this is an excellent macro. However, we must say that this is a highly interesting guy! especially his coloring. Here almost all of our grasshoppers are green or brown! ... this is a "patchwork" of interesting colors. Thanks for posting!
Have a nice week end, regards, Jesús

Hello George,
Superb capture with natural colours and very good details.
Amazing insect. Splendid catch.
Marius.

A fine macro capture George! Well composed, the sharpness, especialy on anterior parts and exposure are good as well.
TFS and have a nice WE!
Cheers,

Bayram
