[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Every now and then my bird photography makes place for a little something else. I saw this beautiful sunset on a farm near Botrivier in the Western Cape Region of South Africa and tried my landscape skills with a Canon 40D and Sigma 10-20 lens.
This is a blend of three images at exposure -2, 0, +2.
Other settings was F10.0,ISO100 and SS1/8sec. Taken in RAW on Av priority.

Hi Frans,
Splendid landscape of Your home, useful description too, TFS!

Hallo Frans
The last couple of years Loot and I went to the Kruger National Park for our annual vacation. This year we have decided to travel down to the Cape Province and it is scenes like these I long to see while we will be touring this beautiful province. I am so excited just looking at this stunning sunset and cannot wait for October to come. We are still in the planning stages but boy I am on holiday already! Thanks for the preview of what I am sure I am going to see. It surely is lovely. Best regards.

Hello Frans,
This is unbelievable beautiful. What a peacful scene! It makes you want to go and sit underneath that old tree and just watch the sun set. Fantatic!
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Frans,
interesting capture we have here! Bravo! Did you use the Photoshop's High Dynamic Range blending mode in this case? If not, you may just read the following link which explain the technique in detail! http://www.treknature.com/viewphotos.php?l=5&p=247476
The effect of that blending here seems similar. Great color gamut, superb point of view and composition. Proudly SA product!

Hello Frans,
And a spledid variation from you indeed. Beautiful colours and great composition. I am unable to criticise this image, not even constructively, as I cannot fault anything about it. I can only applaud it. Thank you and best wishes.

Hello Frans,
Very beautiful landscape picture shown in a very fine early morning light which adds a lot of atmosphere to this shot. Interesting shape of the tree, looks like arms raised to the sky. Fine and subtle tints all over this pleasant composition.
Thanks and kind regards

Hello Frans,
Splendid landscape with excellent dinamic colors. Outstanding details, sharpness and focus. The colors of the sky are frankly amazing.
Thanks for sharing this beauty!

Hi Frans,

Yes its good to have a change of topic every now and then, your sunset has good depth and a sense of chill in the air, was it taken in the winter?, nice lines of thirds, TFS,

Wow, beautiful! I am also awaiting delivery of my 10-20, cant wait to get landscaping!

Hi Frans,
good pov and beautiful colours, with this dramatic sky view.

Hallo Frans
'n Baie mooi en indrukwekkende sonsondergang. Die 'HDR' tegniek hier werk baie goed.
