This critter must be my most posted subject here on TN. Mainly because it lives in my garden. The first signs of spring has arrived and this male bird has already aqcuired two females for his harem. They may keep up to five females in nests in one season.

I included a LARGE POST for your perusal. This is my seventh post of these critters and by the look of it not nearly the last. :) If interested here are the links to my other photos of them posted here on TN.

1. Photo of a very small chick.

2. Frightened Male, caught at night.

3. Male bird perching on a branch.

4. Male and female birds at the nest.

5. Male bird sitting on top of the nest.

6. Photo of a female.

I hope I don’t bore you to much with these birdies. :)

Hey Gerhard,

Superb presentation my friend. Colors are great and details are sharp. The large version is very impressive. Very well exposed and all pics are well composed. Well done & TFS!

I like the second picture with the flying bird the best. I do not have a single nit on any of the pics.

Brilliant collection with excellent colours, details and light - you were really lucky with the colour of the sky which goes excellently with the yellow on the birds ;-))

This is fantastic Gerhard. "Awesome" and a pleasure to view. Perhaps the best LP version of collected photos I've seen here at TN. Very well done MF!

Five incredible razor sharp images all worthy of their own post.
Amazing detail, great pov and the blue (sky) is the perfect bg against that amazing yellow.
Thanks for posting.

Excellente idée que de nous présenter cette thématique sur le Tisserin de la manière dont tu le fais. Quant à la qualité des photos, c'est comme d'habitude, parfait....

Hi Gerhard, I always remember you posting another photo of the same bird called: "Are you all right dear?" (4. Male and female birds at the nest.) It was one of my very best favourite photos of yours.
But these 6 photos above are superb. And especially the last one with the mother sitting in her home and peering out.
NO you don't bore me:)

I love how they make their nests, and the photos are all so sharp and clear. Well done and TFS.

Hi Gerhard
Funny composition. The colours and contrasts are striking.
Excellent job.

Very nice gerhard, the colours are very nice, the yellows against the clear blue.
The bonus image on the Lp is nice thoughtthe flash seems to have isolated it from the BG to make it look almost like a cut out.
I too like these birds. as a child one winter one joined a flock of sparrows and visited us ever morning for an early feed, bringing a spot of colour with it, it must of been an escapie from a collection.
TFS keep them coming ;0))

Brilliant capture Gerhard! Yellow birds made superb contrast with blue sky, colours are saturated and bright. Excellent details and sharpness. But first of all great subject in different poses. Great presentation - part of bird's life perfectly captured.

Hi Gerhard! I do not have the time to write a complete comment but I must say that is a great work, my friend. It is a very good presentation.
