Taaa..daaaa another capture from the Johannesburg Rocky mountains ..the local ZOO! Ops...! Ignore that note and please have a look those watery eyes ..what a cat!

The puma has the largest range of any wild land animal in the Americas. Its range spans 110 degrees of latitude, from northern Yukon in Canada to the southern Andes. It is one of only three cat species, along with the bobcat and Canadian lynx, native to Canada. Its wide distribution stems from its adaptability to virtually every habitat type: it is found in all forest types as well as in lowland and mountainous deserts. Studies show that the cougar prefers regions with dense underbrush, but can live with little vegetation in open areas. Its preferred habitats include precipitous canyons, escarpments, rim rocks, and dense brush.
The cougar was extirpated across much of its eastern North American range (with the exception of Florida) in the two centuries after European colonization, and faced grave threats in the remainder of its territory. Currently, it ranges across most western American states, the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, and the Canadian Yukon Territory.

Hi George,

Beautiful cat, so powerful yet elegant. Excellent quality photo with great processing to bring out the detial of the cat. there some to be some lovely warm glow of the light that illuminated the puma. The soft green background also bring out the contrast of the great and brown of the cat.

I'm speechless. My complements.

Hi George, what a nice pose,it seems very friendly in this pic...ehehe...maybe the puma had understand your work...ehehe..spectacular capture whit the top of quality! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello George,
A very beautiful image. Beautiful like the picture of a beautiful girl on the lid of a chocolate box is beautiful. Unnaturally so. It definitely must have commercial value though. Your technical prowess in PS is above suspicion. The controlled conditions (a zoo) and the foreign environment render it even more unnatural.....similar to my studio, I would think, where I take "chocolate-box" images of beautiful people. Well...sometimes I do when that is what they want.

Hello George,
It is really a photogenic creature, what a pose and these beautiful yellow eyes. As usual a good composition and perfect sharpness. And for me this doesn't look unnatural.
Happy Easter to you and your family, especially to cute Peter
Kind regards
