Hello Anna,
A wonderfully tranquil scene and I can feel the silence of the night as it sets in and before its sounds start up. A very special time and beautiful with the silhouettes of the giraffe against the setting sun. If I should ever see such a scene I would try HDR and hope they stand still for long enough. I thought about cropping off at the bottom but, on second thought, it would not work for me as it would cut off the animals' invisible legs. That possibly is why you did not crop as your images are always very well considered. Congratulations on this excellent image.

This is the most beautiful sunset picture I have seen in a long time, Anna. The sihouettes of Giraffes by the tree are the soul of this picture.
Loot's advice is sound and the precaution you took to obliterate the sun with the tree was instrumental in producing this stunning image.

I'm certainly glad the gatekeeper wasn't a minute too soon, otherwise we might have missed out on this amazing sunset image. I have never tried one yet, but maybe someday I will have the oppertunity and nerve to give it a try. You composed this shot perfectly even though you felt rushed to click the shutter. As you stated, sometimes luck is on our side. Simply stunning shot!!!

Hello Anna,
Though the setting sun was still bright, you made a fine capture of these two giraffs silhouetted against the red sky. The composition with the tree on the left is superb and the feeling of being there in the setting sun is quite real.

Dit is mos Suid Afrikaans gestel op sy beste!! A perfect view of the sunset with the silhouette of the Giraffe captured splendidly!! The sunset colours combined with the distant clouds and the dark silhouettes forms the perfect composition to enhance our country!! The placing is just perfect. Fascinating image, Anna, very well composed. I love sunsets. They are so romantic, so full of mood :)
I especially like the clear silohoettes against the "red", cloudy sky.
These is one of the scenes that I see of my immagination when I think to South Africa.
