[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The hadeda ibis (bostrychia hagedash) is a species with a large range in Africa and an increasing population trend (living in various ecosystems and adapting to human irrigated habitats) (www.birdlife.org).

You find many pics of this common species on TN, showing its brilliant plumage in sunny weather.

What would be a safari without the 'hadada' of the hadeda (or hadada...) ibis!?

I post this picture not without some compassion thoughts for the victims from Nairobi (one of the dark sides of Africa).

P.S.1: the 'noise' on the kingfisher picture appeared during the sharpening process: what was good for the bird, was obviously not so good for the background...

P.S.2: the 'cutt-off' of the rollers tail is the result of the reframing process: the tentation to equilibrate somewhat the picture (long tail, excentric body), to link the tail on the left and the branch on the right in a same dynamic line...

All this is of course discutable, thanks for your helpful comments to my work in progress!

Hello Paul,
An interesting and quite big bird this Hadeda Ibis. Love the fine tints you caught on this picture showing so well the details of its beautiful plumage. The background is great too. Lovely natural shot.
Thanks a lot

A stunning image of this Hadeda. I like the way the back ground fades away and lets the bird stand out. Colours are beautiful. We often have then walking on our front lawn looking for crickets and even my dogs know they are not allowed to chase them, in fact they are not allowed to chase any birds. Well done and thanks for sharing.
