[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have captured this "Blue Waxbill"/ Gewone Blousysie, in Skukuza, Kruger National Park, South Africa. It was a sunny morning when we were walking in the Skukuza Bush lodges area, found this species, busy to collecting seeds from ground. It was not an easy task to capture such small, swift but beautiful bird. I am happy to capture this small species. The Blue Waxbill(Uraeginthus angolensis), also called Blue-Breasted Cordon blue, is a common species of estrildid finch found in Southern Africa. The powder-blue face, breast and flanks are diagnostic. Their call is a soft "seeee...seeee", often repeated as bird flits through the lower parts of bush and scrub. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Congo, Kenya, South Africa, Swazilabd, Tanzania etc.

Hello Srikumar,
I don't know how I missed this little beauty. This is definitely a new bird for me and what a gorgeous one at that. I love the very low POV you managed to achieve. Wonderful eye contact and very good detail. I love the contrasting powder blue and cinnamon colors in it's plumage. Appears to have a touch of peach color on it's underside as well. Very pretty!!!
