Pearl - Spotted Owlet (Glaucidium perlatum)

This is my second picture of this 'Pearl - Spotted Owlet' which I have taken at Kruger National Park during our staying at Pretorioukop Rest Camp.

I took this picture, definitely at night and used my internal flash; I don't have external flash yet. It was pitch dark, so my wife helped me focusing torch 🔦 light on bird.
It's a very small Owl with a rounded head and no ear-tufts. The name comes from the Pearl like white spots on the shoulders of the Owl.
The Pearl - Spotted Owlet occurs in Sub-saharaan Africa from Senegal 🇸🇳 in the west, east to Sudan 🇸🇩 and Eritrea 🇪🇷. South to eastern South Africa and then north to Namibia 🇳🇦 to Western Angola 🇦🇴.

Beautiful composition and exposure - the flash + torch combination worked very well, clear subject and plain bckground, with awesome contrast. The mesmerising eyes gain attention immediately, excellent pose. What a fantastic photo!
