Cape Vulture (Gyps coprotheres)

I have captured this Cape Vulture at Kruger National Park. It was a cloudy day with inter play of light and shade. Moreover, facing lens towards Sun, isn't a good idea to get good details. So I used my Camera lens (better idea to use external lens which I don't have). I don't like such flash light in its eye. Picture was dark and I fixed it in CS2. I like to play with exposure and sometime I even use -2 exposure to get such dramatic looking photograph. In such way, dark portion will comes out more darker and overexposed (here Sun with clouds) portion will give you perfect exposure.
Cape Vulture is an old world Vulture, found in Botswana 🇧🇼 and Lesotho 🇱🇸 also. It's an Endangered species. They lay one Egg a year. This species is among the largest Raptors in Africa.

Hi Srikumar,

Splendid photo of this vulture. It seems like this bird wants to take you into a horrormovie :)
Great background with all those dark clouds and even the moon.
Well done.

regards,
Zeno

Hello Srikumar,
Fantastic dramatic photo. The branch, the bird and the background belong to each other. An amazing atmosphere.

Hello Srikumar,
A very interesting image with a dramatic looking composition.
Very good details and perfect colors.
Marius.

Ciao Srikumar, fantastic shoot with romantic moon and beautiful Vulture, excellent exposure, fine details, superb sharpness, wonderful natural colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Srikumar,

The moon is an eye-catcher. The point of view is showing the details of the Cape Vulture. The light is giving a good contrast to the colours of the picture. Have a nice day.

Pierre

Hi Srikumar
What a great composition in which the moon is a suitable complement for such a bird.
On the top of the wing I see a sort of eye.

Hi Srikumar,a masterwork, not only a great view on the vulture, but it's the magical scenery with the moon to makes the difference, useful note about the tecnique to take this wonderful composition. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hi Sri,
This is gorgeous again. Your double exposure kills! Without reading your note no one would think first this is a daytime photo. Draamatic exposure, and the whole image would be fine for a black metal album cover. :-) This is pure rock'n'roll my friend. Hats off for you!
Kind regards, László
