|As far as I can establish this spider belongs to the family Lycosidae. It is possibly a burrowing wolf spider (?). This one was taken in our living room late night on the 2nd November.|
The Lycosidae family ranges between 6mm and 3cm in length and are premarily nocturnal. There habitat is usually rocky or sandy areas or under rotten logs and lawns. The venom is not toxic to humans as they prey on insects. These spiders also don't weave webs.
