Great DOF, natural color and well focused.
Very good view of the underside, with the interesting shape and colors of the abdomen clearly seen. Good to see you are using raw data format, the results will always be better. It sounds like you have the workflow down well. I might add that @ the 200KB size, you might consider a final, light amount of USM for viewing..Well done & Thank You!
Post Script: I might suggest leaning towards UE when shooting your bugs. It is much easier to correct for UE in raw than OE. I did a quick WS to show the adjustment for highlights.
Excellent shot on this unknown spider. I really like the frame filling composition of it. The spider has great colors and markings. Looks like an armored shell on his back. Howards workshop does enhance this excellent shot even more. Well done!

Very good detail and I like the fact that the web is hard to see. Looks like the spider is flying.

Very sharp macro, Tim. Interesting POV from the underside. He seems to have this ridges coming out of his abdomen. Interesting. Can't wait to find out what it is. Well done and TFS. : )

Lovely shot, Tim. Nice details from underneath. I have never seen this side of it.
Your POV makes it difficult to choose between two species. Both of the Argiope genus. They are commonly reffered to as Garden Orb-web spiders. Both the A. flavipalpis and A. australis has this form. Only with a view from the top could I be certain.
Although harmless they can inflict a painfull bite.

Tim, a very nice capture indeed.
I like colors and pov.
Maybe, I'd try to add a little bit of sharpness, but it's just an opinion.
A very beautiful animal, a great photo.
