very impressive wildlife shot.
The Nyala looking straight into the spectator's eyes makes the picture very seizing and exciting.
Colors are delightful. Background is very well set off.
Details are just amazing: Incredible to see all those ticks, flies and mosquitoes on the Nyala's ears, face and neck.
Definitely a superb shot. Excellent notes, too.
Great contribution. Thank you, Loot.
Congratulations and best regards,

Very good portrait of this antelope, has a nice look, details, mainly the flies on the head, contrast well with BG.

Hi, nice shot and good seeing details. fine coloures and good POV.
Good Evening ,Its a Beautiful portret ,good details
colours lovely eyes ,i like it ,good weekend .Teunie .
The tumbnail shows a sweet ewe, but the larger photo is kind of scary. The note gives a good explanation. You did make it an excellent photo with all the detial you've captured. The DOf is amazing and colors and lighting are perfect.
Is there anyway these animals have found a natural way to get the tics of their body? I've heard about small birds and a mud bath or sand. But you can probably tell it much better.

Very nice portrait shot Loot, excellent sharpness, details, colours and POV. This is a great compositon. Thank you for posting. Greetings
Wow... I love the face.... and those ears! I bet you can't sneak up on these guys. They would hear a pin drop! The white markings acroos the bridge of the nose make it look like a Red Indian war paint job. Crisp, clear details, nice saturation of colours, I love how the face (and ears!) fills the frame. A real visual feast! Nice work my friend.... thank you! :-)

This is outstanding, Loot. : )
This nyala stands out beautiful from the BG. The details are painfully sharp. Those ticks make me want to scratch. The light is perfect, highlighting the beautiful features of this graceful antelope.
Her direct gaze makes me feel as though she is talking to me personally, a sort of cross-species communication... a spiritual bond.
Thanks for sharing this soulful photo. : )

Groetnis Loot, I do so look forward to your postings. Our zoos can show us these wild animals, but it isn't until we see them in 'real' life that we realise what we are really missing, tics and all!!
Awesome little fellow here, her stripes and warpaint look so good. I love the expression she is giving you.
Another good job from you,

this is excellent. POV is great and the details are amazingly sharp. The superp DOF allows the animal to stand out off the B/G just perfectly. A very enjoyable post.

Hi Loot! This is a nice shot. The point of view and moment is nicely captured here. The ticks all over are a bit shocking as they should be. Did you use NeatImage or something on this? It may have slightly overdone some parts and oversharpened others. It's still an impressive image, though!

Belle prise de vue C'est une très jolie bête. Les contrsates et les détails sont clairs. Belle présentation C'est vraiment spécial de voir toutes ces moustiques après cette pauvre bête.
Bravo et au revoir ....JP
Nice taxi, Loot, although it's not one I would take, except in photo of course! The fact that the subject is looking straight at you gives punch to this sharp image.
I dared doing a workshop. You don't have to agree with what I did.
that is a way out shot...and damn sharp...the look on that nyala is classic...sort of sad sack look...
btw..i went to a park in the cape or further up...it was called nyala i think...pretty muddy spot and when i went it was after the big floods..so the water in the cabins was red...

My friend Loot
It is such a pity that some of the members do not the real beauty such as this one that is diplayed on the gallery. This portrait of the female Nyala covered with flees and ticks are proof of the wildlife out there. No vets to take care of them when they are ill, no dips to remove the parasites on their bodies. They have to take care and defend for themselves. I think this image is outstanding, as all your others. The detail of this bucks face is so clear and close; it feels like it is standing right in front of me. Thanks for the usual informative note.

A very impressive portrait of this Nyala female. The markings and patterns on the face are so beautiful and impressive and it actually looks as if was painted by hand. The direct eye contact is amazing and the big brown eyes are really something special. The clarity of the fine hairs on the neckline and in the ears is super sharp. In overall the focus, sharpness and framework are splendidly done and your display of the buck is excellent. The ticks adds lots of characther to this image. Thanks for sharing, and have an enjoyable day.

Baie mooi duidelike foto Loot.
